Introduction

The objectives of the Cultural Committee is to promote and organise cultural activities, events and programs in the college.

Aims and Objectives

• Providing opportunities for personal growth, creativity, and self expression through cultural activities. Cultural activities provide a student an opportunity to bring out the hidden talents of  students in the performing arts.
• Creating platforms for students to develop their organisational, leadership and teamwork skills that are essential for their all round development.
• Encouraging students to learn about different cultures , traditions and art forms by showcasing the diverse cultural heritage of students coming from different communities. In this way students learn to respect and appreciate different cultures.
• Encouraging students to take part in various inter/intra college cultural events such as singing , dancing , skit, fashion shows etc. Through participation students develop confidence, self – expression and stage presence. They improve their communication skills, presentation and learn to work as a team.
• Being involved in extra  co – curricular activities helps to raise the self- esteem of students. There are many students who feel that there is nothing they are good at. But when they are  given opportunities to explore what they are passionate about , it improves their confidence  and this helps to build self- esteem.
• Students are encouraged to take part in cultural activities because extra marks are allotted for certificates of participation in these activities when they pursue higher studies or even in job interviews.
