The introduction of the Arts Stream in the 2020-2021 academic year marked the beginning of the B.A. Honours in Economics program. Originally, there were two Assistant Professors teaching Economics. With the introduction of the Arts Stream, the department's teaching strength has increased to seven (7) faculty members as on June, 2024.
