The Debate Club of the college functions as an educational program offered by the institution. It is meant for the discussion and learning new way of thinking about topics of public interest and representational argument.The Debate Club is inclusive and students of differing ages, grades, and abilities are encouraged to participate and contribute to the club and its efforts. The Debate Club of the college is supervised by teachers of the college to guide the debating skills of the students.
The Debate Committee is responsible for organizing the annual JJM Nichols Roy Inter College Debate Competition generally held in September-October every year. It also conducts quiz and debate competitions during College Week. The task of scouring potential debaters and training them to face competitions lies with this Committee.
